The Silk Scarf

Setting
Place: Oriental Plaza in Johannesburg
Time: during summer

Summary
The story is about a wife of an important official of the African Front. Mrs Nebo went out to Oriental Plaza   accompied by her friend Margaret to do some shopping. They bought shoes , jewellery and a swimming costumes. As the two ladies where looking around shops followed by the two escorts Mrs Nebo  saw a lovely Indian dress on a dummy in the shop window and she decided to buy it but also wanted to buy a  silk scraf that will match with her soft floral material with pink and magenta dress. She went looking from shop to shop till when she went in Moghul Boutique where she was shown a silk scarf that matched her dress perfectly.She wanted to buy the scarf  but when she looked in her handbag she realize that she was fifteen rands short because the silk scarf was hundred and ten rands. Mrs Nebo told the shopkeeper that she did not have enough cash so she will be paying buy cheque but the shopkeeper told her that strictly cash as it stated on the cardboard that no credit ,no cheques cash only. Mrs Nebo felt offended and her integrity challenged she then lost her composure and made a dispute. Several shopkeepers opposite Moghul Boutique heard the dispute and wanted to know what was happening as they where in the shop one of the escorts asked what was the problem but all of them remained silent. He told the shopkeepers that Mrs Nebo was the wife of the future Foreign Minister of  the country. The shopkeepers where frightened by that because government officials where powerful and could become dictatorial and they did not want to expirence what the white government did to their houses and shops in Pageview again. Mr Sader one of the shopkeepers plead to Mr Sakur to accept the cheque but still refused. Mr Sader told the other shopkeepers to come outside and they went into a huddle , Mr Sader suggest they buy her the scarf as a gift and the shopkeepers agreed, they bought her scarf ,apologised to her as they gave her the scarf. Mrs Nebo smiled happily after receiving the gift and thanked the traders.

Main charactor
Mrs Nebo the wife of the an important official of the African Front. She is of medium height with heavy lions. She is smooth-skinned complexion. She is very classic and wears expensive designers clothes. She is very subborn and arrogant.

Through the Tunnel

Setting
Time: during  a winter holiday
Place:  at a beach in a foreign country

Summary
The story , Through the tunnel , is about a boy Jerry. In this story Jerry goes to the beach with his mother on vocation. Jerry is boy who would do almost anything to be friends with someone. In the story Jerry tries to impress foreign boys by trying to swim through a  tunnel. His mother allows him to do anything he wants . He likes to meet new friends and to Jerry this was a perfect oppotunity. Jerry is a person  who likes to push himself to  the limits and likes challenge. When Jerry sees foreign boys swimming and decdes to ask them if he can swim with them. But Jerry realizes that the boys do not speak his language but tries to talk to them in  French. When Jerry ses the boys swimming in the water below and   pop out on top of the rocks he decides to check it out  and see whats down there . He saw a black tunnel  as  he tries to swim through the tunnel he becomes afraid and scared and decides to go back. He asked his mother to buy him some googles so that he could swim. Jerry went down the tunnel he realizes that he did not have as much accomplishment as he thought he would. So overall Jerry noticed that he does not have to show off to others to impress himself.

Main character
Jerry a young English boy. He is eleven years old. He is the only child of his mother. He is agood swimmer. Easy to communicate to . He is very determined.

Experince creating my blog account

It was a awesome experince creating my blog account althought is was a little bit challenging. I first  had to create my gmail account and that took about 30 minutes it was a bit delaying. Opening my blog account was very easy althought I had to redo it because my computer froze for a for 5 minutes. At the end when I finished I was happy to know that  I was done creating my account and communicate with my fellow LPB students.
